Hello my name is Sam. Every individuals reality is unique and special, and only you best understand your life, and the hurdles that come with it. Finding the right person that can work alongside you through this journey can be daunting and overwhelming but I feel it’s important for everyone to have an opportunity to be heard and seen, all you have to do is “start talking”…..

My experience and training spans nearly over a decade in this field. My specialist areas include sexuality and relationships, abuse, depression, anger, anxiety, drugs & substance misuse, self harm and group work.

I am professionally qualified counsellor with a BA (Hons), in Person centred counselling at the Metanoia Institute for counselling and psychotherapy in London. I offer counselling sessions for individuals, couples and am registered with the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

In the right counselling relationship the benefits are endless.

Forever hopeful,
Sam

Specialising in: Trauma/EMDR, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Relationships & Couples Therapy,  Discrimination & Marginalisation, Anxiety/Fears/OCD, Hypnosis & Mindfulness.

As an Integrative UKCP Psychotherapist and Counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and philosophies to support my clients in achieving their goals. You can find out more about these approaches here.

It is an incredible privilege to support clients through their concerns, and doing so is never a chore or “just business.” I chose to become a therapist because I am passionate about psychotherapy and its potential to help people transform their lives in a direction of their choosing. I am continuously amazed and humbled by the trust people place in the therapeutic process, and I am committed to working in the best interests of my clients. I take pride in providing therapy where all individuals are welcomed, highly valued, and treated with attuned sensitivity. I work in an anti-discriminatory and affirming way with all individuals, respecting and supporting diverse communities such as gender, neurodiversity, ethnicity, relationship styles, sexuality, faith, and marginalised viewpoints and beliefs.

I have experience with adults, couples and adolescents, working both privately and previously at a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited Bracknell counselling agency. I hold an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).

My registration can be validated online at UKCP (Member# 2011163945). My Couples Counselling qualification is approved by the WPF Therapy (UK). I work under regular supervision and undertake continual professional development. I also have achieved fellowship with the National Society of Hypnosis, Psychotherapy & Mindfulness (NSHP&M) as well as the government approved Professional Standards Authority. These memberships provide independent verification of qualifications as well as adherence to standards.

I am also a lifelong passionate practitioner of Wing Chun.
